Growing up on a North Carolina farm in Robeson County, William Barker moved to Raleigh in 1973 to attend N.C. State University. He began real estate sales in 1979, and founded Barker Realty in 1984 as an investment and property management real estate company. William Barker began selling real estate in the Raleigh area in 1979 with Bacon and Company. In 1989, William began building custom homes under William T. Barker Construction. He later formed Barker and Lovette Construction Company, specializing in commercial building renovations and fit-ups. Over this time period, William has also been involved as managing partner in several companies specializing in land development. He has served on the NC Building Code Committee, is a member of the Wake County Home Builders Association, the National HBA, and the Raleigh Board of Realtors.

Randy grew up in Johnson City,TN and attended East Tennessee State University where he majored in Business Management and Broadcast Management. Prior to joining Barker Realty/Affordable Storage, Randy was district manager for three different retail organizations. During his off time, Randy enjoys spending time with his family, NASCAR and model trains.

Cindy Styles Minion grew up the daughter of a South Carolina home builder and developer and has literally been in the real estate business all of her life. When she was too old to tag along on job sites, she began working summers and afternoons in the family business. After college, Cindy worked with a resort condominium developer in the development and construction department, designing and building resort condominiums along the east and Gulf coasts. After moving to North Carolina in 1987, Cindy obtained her NC Real Estate License and sold real estate with York Properties, specializing in the Cary and Apex area. In 1994, Cindy joined Barker Realty as Office Manager. Since that time, she has received her Broker's License and now oversees all activities as Broker-in-Charge.

Marybeth Neblett grew up in New England as the only daughter in a family of nine children; she learned early on what it meant to be a team player! She moved to North Carolina with her husband and two children in 1992. Marybeth has over 30 years of experience working in almost every discipline a company might have - engineering, marketing and sales, finance, administration - as well as working as an independent consultant doing New Product Development for major Fortune 500 companies. Marybeth understands the complexities of running a business! She is a licensed NC Real Estate Broker. Marybeth has been with Barker Realty since January 1997 when she joined the company as the Leasing Property Manager. In January 2000, she was promoted to the Director of Property Management, overseeing Leasing and Maintenance. In 2006 she moved into the newly created role of Director of Fiscal Management. As such she oversees the accounting and risk management functions for Barker Realty, Inc., Barker & Lovette General Contractors and W.T. Barker Construction.

Bill is a native of Mississippi, relocating to Wilmington in 1989 and to Raleigh in 1996. He has been involved in Property Management since 1985 after a career in the Hospitality Industry managing restaurants in S. Louisana. He is a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1976. Bill attended school at the University of Hawaii and Louisiana State University. When not working Bill enjoys Home Improvement projects and Cooking.

Kim grew up in Raleigh after moving from Indiana at age 5. She received a BS in Psychology from Appalachian State University. After graduating, she lived in Jacksonville, NC for three years before returning to the Raleigh area. She worked in the construction and property management field as an office manager for two and a half years before joining Barker Realty in April of 2006.

Carolyn has been with Barker Realty since November 2004. Carolyn moved to North Carolina from Eastern Massachusetts in the spring of 2003. She enjoys living in Raleigh and since starting at Barker Realty has become much more comfortable drving around the area without first mapquesting the directions! As a long-term renter she brings a sense of urgency to maintenance issues and knows the comforts that tenants value. Carolyn is a licensed NC Real Estate Broker.

Karen Wheeler joined the Barker Realty, Inc. staff in February 2003 as our Front Desk Receptionist. Prior to moving to the Raleigh area in 1995, she had moved six times since 1989. She is well aware of the pressures involved in transferring to a new area. Karen's work experience includes over 10 years of Receptionist/Administration work in a variety of fields all of which required many interpersonal relations. Karen brings to the Barker Team a pleasant phone attitude and a strong willingness to help others.
